Submission Agreement

This submission agreement constitutes a legal agreement between you (“you”, “your” or “user”) and Paradox Interactive AB (“Paradox”, “we” or “us”), and governs, in addition to the Terms of Use, your PDXCON REMIXED submission to Paradox and our use of such submission. In the event of any discrepancy between this Submission Agreement and the Terms of Use, this Submission Agreement shall prevail.

Eligibility. Through the PDCON REMIXED (“PDXCON”) portal you are able to submit your ideas for talks and panels or activities hosted by you (“Submission”) for the chance to be part of the PDXCON line-up. To be eligible for Submission you must create and accept the terms for a Paradox Account as well as this Submission Agreement. Making a Submission doesn’t mean that your idea will be accepted and we reserve the right to choose in our sole discretion which submissions we accept and make part of the final line-up for PDXCON.

Rights. By submitting your Submission to us, you grant us and our affiliates a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, sublicensable right to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, broadcast, transmit, and otherwise communicate, publicly display and publicly perform your Submission. In the event that your Submission addresses ideas or proposals for developing a new game, you hereby acknowledge that Paradox may currently or in the future be developing internally, externally, or receiving from third parties information ideas and concepts that may be similar or identical to information in your Submission and you hereby waive any right you may have in relation to us doing so. Further, you acknowledge that Paradox has no obligation to use any idea or feature request you submit.

Rules of Conduct. Paradox is dedicated to providing a digital conference experience for everyone, regardless of race, religion, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size or age. We do not tolerate racism, hate speech or harassment of conference participants in any form. You agree that you, your Submission, or your hosted event, if chosen by us shall not:

  • contain or use any content or speech promoting violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on age, disability, ethinicity, gender identity and expression, nationality, race, immigration status, religion, sex/gender, sexual orientation, victims of a major violent event and their kin;
  • use any foul, vulgar, obscene, sexist, racially offensive, language including ethnic slurs;
  • contain any material that is copyrighted or subject to third party proprietary rights or that violates any third party rights; or
  • contain illegal content or links to illegal content or any material which depicts nazi symbols or nazi propaganda, or is pornographic, sexually offensive or otherwise unsuitable for family or office environment (NSFW).

Paradox reserves the right to suspend without notification any ongoing talk or activity hosted by you in case we in our sole discretion decide that your talk och activity is not in line with this Submission Agreement or any other agreement or terms you have accepted.

Privacy. When submitting your Submission, we will process some of your personal data. The following data is necessary to process for contractual obligations: i) name, ii) email, iii) year of birth, iv) social media channel, and v) experience of hosting activities in gaming events and prior participation in previous pdxcons. Other information is optional and by providing such information you hereby consent to us processing the information for the purpose of hosting PDXCON. Please contact us if you wish to revoke your consent, which you can always do. Please read our privacy policy if you have any questions regarding how we process your personal data.

Governing law/jurisdiction. This Submission Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of laws rules and principles. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts of Stockholm, Sweden for any cause of action arising out of or relating to this Submission Agreement, and hereby waive any right to participate in any type of lawsuit brought and/or maintained as a class action or similar in nature to a class action, to the extent permissible by applicable law.
